Previews: DJ Hero

Time to blow your whistle and crack out the glowsticks.
There's been a lot of rumour and speculation surrounding DJ Hero ever since Activision registered the name as a trademark many months ago. Some thought it was going to be a cheap cash-in designed to take advantage of the massive success of the Guitar Hero brand, whereas others were hopeful it could give the genre a boot up the backside and breathe new life into it. Now we've had our first look at the game in action, we can safely say that it's the latter which is looking more likely.

News: New Nintendo Downloads

Hanabi Festival kicks off.
Today marks the beginning of the Hanabi Festival on Virtual Console. During the four week Hanabi Festival, classic games that were never released in the UK will be coming to Virtual Console. Over the next four weeks you'll be able to enjoy games such as Bomberman 94 (Turbografx), Zoda's Revenge (NES), Musha (Mega Drive), Smash Table Tennis (NES), Detana Twin Bee (NES)and Kirby's Dream Land (SNES).

In London's County Hall is the Namco Bandai Station. If you've never been, it's a subterranean videogames emporium on the banks of the Thames full of flashing arcade cabinets. It has very nice shiny floors.
