The only limit is your imagination…
Despite the whole host of new announcements at the E3 show back in early June - the Mario games, the new Metroid, even the stuff on other non-Nintendo consoles - the game that ended up stealing the whole show wasn’t a flashy HD shooter or a nifty new MotionPlus game, but instead a humble DS title called Scribblenauts.
This was mainly due to a bold claim made by the game’s developers: that it was a puzzle game where you could summon any object in the dictionary and use it to solve problems. Like many others, we were intrigued but sceptical. However, now we’ve played it we’re happy to say we’re very impressed.
Next Level tell us about the development of a boxing classic.
Modern remakes of old movies, games and TV shows have to tread a fine line. Change it too much, and you’ll enrage the existing fans. Don’t change it enough and you get accused of just cynically re-hashing a classic. So you might imagine some trepidation at Next Level Games when Nintendo asked them to develop the first new Punch-Out!! game since the early ’90s.

Every Nintendo fan knows what it’s like to get a blue shell up their exhaust but let’s forget about those Mario Kart power-ups for a moment as we look into the power-ups that have helped Mario through his adventures. He may look like a portly plumber but he has an arsenal of gadgets and power-ups that any super hero would be jealous of. After all, Superman can only fly but our Mario can do that and he can also transform into a frog, chuck fireballs and throw hammers. He’s our super hero and here is our list of the plumber’s top 20 power-ups.
